Micropedia is a comprehensive guide to clinical microbiology, offering over 150 entries dedicated to specific pathogens or groups of pathogens. Each entry covers more than 16 different aspects of the clinical presentation, such as modes of transmission, symptomatology, laboratory and imaging findings, diagnostic testing, treatment options, and additional insights. The information presented in Micropedia is meticulously curated from reputable infectious disease textbooks, widely-used electronic clinical references, and recently published journal articles.

Moreover, Micropedia features a search function that enables users to look up information based on common names, eponyms, geographic locations, disease acuity, vaccinations, and the entire content of each entry.

While the database currently includes information on over 100 of the most commonly encountered pathogens in infectious diseases, ongoing updates are planned to incorporate hundreds more in the future.
